ABOUT

       Tessa Crawford originates from Columbia, Missouri where she started dancing at the age of 3 and competitively dancing at the age of 5. She did most of her training and competing at Columbia Performing Arts Centre where she was given the opportunity to study and train under teachers and choreographers such as Benoit Swan Pouffer, Kristen Weiser, Jon Bond, Jennifer Parsley, Jessica Lee Keller, Jennifer Lee, and many more. Throughout her competition career Tessa recieved many top scoring awards along with many regional and national titles. 

       After high school Tessa was one of 16 accepted to The Hartt School Dance Division BFA program, under the direction of Stephen Pier. Tessa spent 4 years intensely studying and training in various genres of dance including Ballet, Pointe work, Graham, Limon, and Contemporary. During her 4 years at Hartt Tessa worked with many influential choreographers and artists in the field. These artsits include but are not limited to Nina Watt, Hilda Morales, Samantha Dunster, Gregory Dolbashian, Loni Landon, and Take Ueyama. In May of 2014 Tessa graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Hartt School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance.

       Tessa has been fortunate enought to have gained additional training by attending programs around the country such as Cedar Lake 360 (2011 and 2013), Tulsa Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, and Northwest Dance Project (2014). She also has traveled overseas to study at The Julidanse Festival in Amsterdam, NL.

       Tessa is currently based in Los Angeles, CA where she is a freelance artist. She does travel to New York City to continue her work with The DASH Ensemble, under the direction of Gregory Dolbashian. Tessa also teaches and choreographs for studios around the country.
